Pitching on the Croisette
for “Framed”
12 May 2003
At this years Cannes Film Festival, the UK Film council
kindly laid on a pitching competition for film makers throughout
Great Britain.
From each of the eight regions, two projects were selected
to be pitched to an audience of Film Council executives, film financiers
(including the high-powered head of Alliance Atlantis, Alan Harris)
and filmmakers.
Steve Trimingham’s project “Framed”
was selected to pitch for the region along with Leigh’s project
“Big Stella, Little Stella”.
“The pitching itself was three very rigorously
timed minutes of selling of the concept and characters in Framed
and an audience of about sixty people. It made the process nerve-wracking,
but enjoyable” said Steve.
“Congratulations to Ann on winning the pitch
competition and I wish her all the luck for the future. It’s
nice to see someone from the region getting the recognition and
opportunity to move their project forward”. |
