TAPS interactive writers workshop

16 October 2002

Adrian Cox and Steve Trimingham attended the TAPS “Writing for PC games” workshop this September in Hammersmith.

Present at the workshop where such experts as Gregg Roach of Hyperbole Studios, Nick Cusworth of Argonaut Games and Mark Eyles of Rebellion Games.

Of particular interest was Gregg Roach’s lecture on Interactive Narrative. His PC CD-ROM game of X-Files in 1998 was a landmark in interactive design and his insights into the theory and practice of non-linear narrative was of particular interest to our company.

“We left with a clear sense of the industry’s attitude towards the writer in the process of developing games” said Adrian Cox.

“The description of the business from first concept to final game; from developer to publisher to high street was a great snapshot for us and gives us a clear model to follow for our business”.
